Mayumi Yamada holds a political science masters degree from Stanford University, with additional training in education and sociology. She has spent nearly a decade working with vulnerable populations in developing countries around the world.
As a fierce advocate for the less fortunate, she has dedicated her life to helping children with the belief that even a small amount of focused attention now can make a lasting difference throughout their lives.
Her field experience includes time in Japan, Costa Rica, the United States, Brazil and Angola in both urban and rural areas. She has worked with UNICEF, various state and local agencies, and a wide variety of NGOs..
